Talks and Presentations
from
West Oxfordshire Green Party Events

Every year the Branch organises a range of public talks, presentations and discussions on a wide range of topics of imprtance to the Green Party, its members and supporters.

We realise that not everyone can attend the meeting so wherever possible we will post the presentations and discussions on this page.

Growing Food in the Community

With food poverty at its worst for decades and health services under extreme stress, community gardens and orchards, school gardens and allotments offer a perfect opportunity to increase wellbeing in the community through their valuable social, physical and mental health benefits.

In an effort to encourage and support the expansion of community growing projects we gathered together speakers from both community and health sectors:

  • Our community presenters shared their experiences of setting up community gardens and orchards in towns and schools around Oxfordshire.
  • Our health sector experts explored the benefits of growing your own food on both mental and physical health.
